John D. Norwood, III

John Norwood, President of Neighborhood Mortgage,Inc. founded the company in 2001.  Once you meet John, it’s easy to see why his career as a mortgage originator has been a consistent success through the years! He addresses his career as he does all aspects of his life; with enthusiasm, tenacity and integrity. John is a committed and passionate mortgage professional that prides himself with putting his client's satisfaction above all else regardless of the price range or client situation. He understands that purchasing a home will be one of the most important decisions you will make and few things are more important than the place we call home, the place we raise our family and the place we create memories!

John resides in Forsyth County with his wife of over 25 years, Kimberly and their Labradoodle, Freddie. He is a proud father to two children, Blake, who served in the United States Air Force for six years and Paige, a Real Estate Agent.  John is also proud to work with his son-in-law Nathan, who has followed in his footsteps in the mortgage industry as a successful originator.  One of John’s greatest joys is being called Grandpa J to two beautiful little girls, Avery and Maddox!

When not working, you’ll usually find John on Lake Lanier or on the beach in Hilton Head, his second home.
