Unlike many mortgage companies, Jennifer took the time to help me figure out which was best option for me at this financial stage in my life. Buying again vs. Renting? down payments, monthly payments, staying within my monthly budget, and how long did I plan to stay in GA? So many variables went into this other than just getting prequalified, finding a place and moving on. Jennifer did not treat me as just another mortgage. In fact based on the information I provided it was not in my best interest to buy right away. I appreciated Ms. Brown’s honesty and hard work. She could have given me a loan and sent me on my way. In fact, Houston was even able to get us a LOWER rate than what we initially locked due to market changes. Getting my credentials from the VA for my mortgage was a true testament how well I was taken care of as no one at the VA was cooperating.
Houston and his team stayed on top of it and closed my mortgage on time as scheduled.
This took a lot of their time as it was over a five week period chasing the VA not to mention me pestering Houston daily for an update.
As I was moving here from another state and had sold my home it was critical we close on time so I had a home for my family to go to.
So with Neighborhood Mortgage I received the best of all worlds.
Great service, low rate and everything was taken care of with no surprises.
They deserve ten stars not only the five allowed.

Linda is all of these things and more. I had an especially difficult time as a self-employed buyer looking for a lender. It can be challenging to work through a lot of requirements of mortgage lenders when you aren’t paid traditionally. Linda was my ally and advocate who helped me organize and prepare all the documents that I needed, helped me explain in plain speak to underwriters and processors who were unfamiliar with my kind of work, why I was no more risky than anyone else paid traditionally. On top of everything else, she got me a great rate, helped me find a great house and connected me with an amazing real estate agent. I started the loan process with the approved lender to be totally dissatisfied and frustrated by the lack of professionalism and communication with this lender and the games played to receive a locked in rate. At this point I refused to move any further and re-started my loan process with Jennifer. She went above and beyond on my last loan 3 years ago and she did the same with this loan. She took charge of the loan process for me and always kept me informed of where we stood so there was never a surprise along the way and at closing.

Jennifer provided us with a more reasonable rate than we were being offered through other lenders. She also was communicative throughout the entire process, and helped us understand each step. We had no problems getting in contact with her when we had questions (as first time home buyers, we had quite a few). Ultimately though, she went above and beyond to help us lock in the rate we had hoped for from the very beginning. She showed time and time again that she respected us and cared for us as her customers. This was even more evident by the fact that she also sent a beautiful housewarming gift once we had settled in. We are extremely grateful for all of the hard work she put in to get us the mortgage plan we wanted. I was embarrassed and super bummed. She told me what I needed to work on and encouraged me. About a year later, I had her run my credit again and see if I had made enough progress to get pre-qualified. I HAD! She was excited and eagerly walked me through tons of scenarios and helped me find the financing that helped me get into my first home, but also the financing I was comfortable with. I would recommend her to anyone. She really listened and kept my priorities in mind, all while being extremely patient and available. It was scary to take the first couple of steps, but it was made easier by having Jennifer in my corner!

Never once did I feel like she was trying to put me in a loan that was not best for us. in fact, she is so thorough she sent a reminder email to file for homestead 6 months later. WOW. Who does that. We had a tight timeline and some unusual requirements with international wires for proof of funds to close. Jennifer's team were there every step of the way with detailed instructions on what to do, what documentation to provide, and how to provide it. We're a busy family, but Jennifer made sure she let us known when she needed a quick turn around on a request. She even worked to turn around an approval for an increased offer on Easter Sunday, and locked in a lower rate a week before closing. We had worked with her for a re-fi a few years ago that also went very smoothly - great service, very professional. I'd highly recommend her.

Jennifer seemed very focused on customer service and what's best for our family. When dealing with Jennifer, it was not about her, but, always about us. Anytime I had a question, she was there with an answer, and not just what we wanted to hear, even when she was on a vacation, which I was very thankful for. She advised us on what to do and what not to do, during the whole process. It was clear that her goal was to help us make sure we were taken care of. I can tell, working with Jennifer, that she was not one of those "fly-by-night" loan consultants, and knew exactly what needed to be done to get the loan closed, without any issues, even up until the night before closing, she was more than willing to answer last minute questions and also respond to us. All the "i"'s were dotted and "t"'s were crossed, during the whole process, which made the closing very smooth for us!!
